I have really been looking forward to everyday of progression on this fight and from the video, bear + scorpion is pewpew fun. Essentially what make this extremely powerful is the scorpions abilities are based off ap (vengeance) plus the combo with Nature's Vigil buff to damage and the healing from damage.

Just an update, I haven't been posting much for two reasons. 1. I recently switched to a prot pally due to ours leaving wow and 2. we've been recruiting and not progressing as much. We have recently been apping a monk (another reason for switch from the leather wearing bear) and we're getting back on track.

I've been trying to keep on various forums to see how the bear community is doing and there has been tons of questions and discussions on heroic Stone Guard. Just thought I'd blog our kill video and just give a few tips that really helped us.

- Four healing ten man made this incredibly easy to manage the damage. With the tile buffs there is just so much throughput due to so much mana and damage has no problem beating the enrage with one less dps

- This is a clear case where FR shines (SD vr FR Post)

What About Your WoW Guild, Can You Survive D3

Just wanted to post something short and sweet on how, as a guild leader and raid leader, I've been dealing with not just Diablo III but with the extent of the current content in WoW.

I've had a lot of negative comments and and a obvious decline in recruitment and active members which I'm sure everyone is dealing with. People getting bored, lots more drama, people not showing up without posting (which we and I'm sure most require) and I've also seen a great increase in clicheness happening that concerns me the most.

As a leader and as a player you need to understand this is how things are. But I do feel there are ton of good things, especially for my group that I'm getting out of this.

First of all Diablo. To be honest, best thing to happen right now. Despite the decrease in interest in WoW, our performance and attention during raid did go up in my opinion. I always encourage people to play other games and play other aspects even if it's just pvp when you're a pve'r. It does make you better. We even stopped doing our ten man alt raid for Diablo and I think it was a better idea then "practice" or gearing in WoW.

The one and greatest problem I see is people and the negative/destruction attitudes. This is something that is just more apparent now because there is less structure in my option. With things on farm, there is no clear roles needed. I've had a ton of resistance from people for small things that have been totally blown out of proportion.

I STRONGLY ENCOURAGE EVERYONE. You are still in a social environment, there are things that are acceptable, things that make you a better person and things that make life easier for everyone around you. Which leads to my next point.

Not one person is "needed" or "required" at this point. Don't let this stuff fly. This is a very good opportunity to get those good players and good members that will be sustainable. Try to identify those that are impartial and have good morales and the skills to manage conflict and get them in leadership roles.

The best players should not necessarily be your officers and raid leaders.

It's becoming more and more apparent that there are a number of things I think I take for granted. I've spent a lot of time recently going through stream recordings for my YouTube channel and I've noticed some things that I feel a lot of players don't utilize.

As a tank, I use mouseovers for everything I can do at range. This actually apparently came to my attention in our Heroic Madness kill this pass week when we were discussing who should have picked up the add when the tanks died at the end.

A Night With XSplit

After a evening back at the gym, I got home to Google Hangout with Krug, Orph, Tab and Raz. I made a huge, delicious plate of pasta and cheesy garlic break unknowing to the frustrations to come.

Enter XSplit...

So for a couple months now, like so many others, I have been streaming online. I've come to spend a fair bit of money and time on my computer equipment in order to be able to stream at the best quality I can. I've fine tune everything and last night I got to the point where I've become unhappy with the quality I've been getting. 

As you can see on my youtube channel,  some of my videos still aren't turning out as good as they could.

Playing with every setting possible I was still having problems. Sparing you the long rant, it comes down to my connection. I have 100Mb down and 5Mb upload. I've always got about 4.2Mb and last nights tests I'm getting less than 1Mb...

Time to yell at my isp.
